The sleepy bridge is the literal translation of Slaperstil. It has been a while since I last uploaded a picture of Slaperstil. But here is another one now.
Either the sunset was very red or an atombomb fell on Aduard.
This used to be an important monastery long ago. The monks have contributed to the safe-keeping of the area by building dikes and regulating the water-level. These two monks look slightly creepy to me but that could be hindsight.
Peeking around the church I picked up this cloud with a silver lining. Actually, I was walking around in the village while the garage was changing my tires from winter to summer. It was so busy that they had to apologize but it would take a bit longer than usual.
Evening falls and it’s the view towards Slaperstil, Aduard, Zuidhorn and finally Grijpskerk. The only way to notice Grijpskerk, though, is when the flame of the gas-pumping station is visible.
A full moon over the fields towards Slaperstil.
Having dinner with a close and dear friend.
The shorter days are definitely returning and the sun is now setting over Aduard and moving towards Zuidhorn.
