Walking back along the van Starkenborghkanaal we noticed how everything was more busy than two hours earlier. More people had come out to enjoy the beautiful spring Sunday.
It did remind me a bit of the Vigeland Park in Oslo where I was in 1982. I wore my contact lenses for the first time on this holiday and the sunlight was so strong on the white marble that my eyes got so irritated that I couldn’t wear my lenses for a few days. Either that or the sight of Nick Cave and Lydia Lunch at the Munch-museet the day before did my eyes in. I got so excited seeing them and there was nobody to share it with.
