A mother duck and her ducklings in the Reitdiephaven marina. Cute.
We’re in the deepest of winter now. There is still snow in the harbour. Yet it feels like spring is on it’s way. Officially more than a month away it is around the corner. T minus 35 and counting…
Many harbour-pictures these days. It must be because I have been going to the shops in the Reitdiephaven neighbourhood which is photogenic as can be. So I always stop and take pictures.
It is slowly getting darker over the Reitdiephaven marina. Pretty soon it will be dark.
There were many pictures to be made this afternoon on our way to the shops. This is the one I picked as #pictureoftheday. The reflection of the houses is slightly unsharp because the toplayer is ice and not water.
I like how the grey house is only partially reflected.
If it keeps on snowing like it does now, there will be no skating on the Reitdiephaven. Last year it was a lot of fun. Winter is not over yet, so we might see some skating still this year.
It has been freezing for a few days and the ice on the Reitdiephaven looks stronger and stronger.
I don’t come here very often. On this side of the building. I had just disposed of empty bottles and waste-paper at the waste-station and I came from the other side now.
